St. Peter's is an Episcopal church, a tradition rich in history with a message for this generation. We are part of the Diocese of Southern Ohio, and our bishop is the Rt. Rev. Thomas E. Breidenthal. In a larger sense, we are part of the Anglican Communion, a global community with more than 70 million members. Our faith is rooted and guided by Scripture, tradition and reason. We believe the church is big enough for a diversity of views and people and encourage discussion and exploration of God’s word. All are welcome to come and worship with us. Our mission is to be joy-filled witnesses for Christ in our communities.
St. Peter’s is housed in a 160-year-old stone structure one block west of the downtown section of Delaware, Ohio. A county seat about 20 miles north of Columbus, Delaware is a historic but currently growing community of 31,000, and the home of Ohio Wesleyan University. St. Peter's is the northernmost parish in the Diocese of Southern Ohio, and the only Episcopal church serving Delaware County. There is a healthy ecumenical spirit among the city's more than 30 churches.
