Making our presence known in the community.
Sharing the good news of Christ's resurrection means reaching out to the community. We do that in many ways, both as a parish and individually.
St. Peter’s outreach is very hands-on. Food and clothing are collected and donated each week, and many parishioners volunteer their time and talent to area service agencies and health care facilities. In addition, we have a variety of other ministries and activities.
We also make annual financial gifts to 14 different human service organizations. These include Habitat for Humanity, Heifer International, Liberian nursing students, Episcopal Relief & Development, aid to Hurricane Katrina victims, Five Talents International, as well as local relief agencies and ecumenical youth groups. Over the past five years, we are blessed to have given more than $145,000 to people in need locally and around the world.
